SNCMA
For SNCMA, I designed a WordPress blog about ServiceNow architecture and design. I created the logo and website, organized the site's content, and created graphics for blog posts and social media using Canva, Adobe tools, and generative AI.
Overview
SNCMA is a WordPress blog about ServiceNow architecture and design for administrators, developers, and architects. I designed the logo and customized the WordPress site. I continue to maintain the site, proofread articles, organize the content, and create graphics for blog posts and social media.
Website Design & Development
The Goal
- Create a design that reflected the site's focus on ServiceNow.
- Make it easy for visitors to browse the articles.
- Give the site a clean, consistent look.
- Build the site in WordPress so the content would be easy to manage and update.
What I Did & Continue to Do
- Customized the WordPress theme and added CSS to create the site's overall look and feel.
- Used custom HTML and inline CSS to format posts and pages.
- Used categories and tags to organize articles and make related content easier to find.
- Designed the site to work well across different screen sizes while keeping accessibility in mind.
- Maintain the site as new articles are published.
- Proofread each article before publication.
- Create featured images for articles using stock photography, text, design elements, and generative AI when appropriate.
The Result
- The site's design and graphics have a consistent look.
- The site makes a large amount of technical content easier to browse and explore.
- Categories and tags make it easy for readers to find related content.
- Custom graphics give the articles a visual element that complements the technical content.
Logo Design
The Goal
- Create a simple, recognizable logo for the SNCMA blog.
- Make it clear what the site is about without requiring visitors to know what SNCMA means.
- Include a visual connection to ServiceNow without copying the ServiceNow logo or creating something too similar to it.
- Create a logo that would scale well across multiple devices.
What I Did
- Designed a responsive logo from scratch for use on the SNCMA website.
- Used the shape of the C as a subtle reference to the circular O in the ServiceNow logo, while creating a design that was distinct from the ServiceNow logo.
- Created a related favicon for use in browser tabs.
The Result
- SNCMA has a logo that gives the blog its own look while still making a connection to ServiceNow.
- The C in the logo provides a subtle visual reference to the O in the ServiceNow logo without copying the ServiceNow mark.
- The logo looks good on the website across multiple devices.
